SWIPY / COMPRESSIFY

Swipy Privacy Policy

Version of 6 October 2026.

This is an English translation of the Russian Политика конфиденциальности Swipy. If the versions differ, the Russian version prevails.

1. Who is responsible for data

Swipy is an app by the Compressify brand for working with your gallery on Android. Rightholder and operator of the data sent to support: Vladimir Vladimirovich Bredikhin, a self-employed individual paying the Russian professional income tax, taxpayer ID (INN) 463228181969. Support and data questions: compressify@yandex.ru.

This policy covers the app and correspondence with its support. Data processing by RuStore, Android, your cloud gallery and the separate compressify.pro website is governed by the documents of those services.

2. What is processed on your phone

Once you grant access, Swipy uses the photos and videos available to it, their thumbnails and details: identifiers, file names, albums, dates, size, video duration and the favourite mark. This is needed for browsing, filtering, finding similar shots, compression and carrying out the actions you choose.

The device stores your settings, review history, deletion queue, compression results and jobs, statistics, daily goal and streak. To find similar photos, local digital fingerprints of images are created. They are used to compare shots; Swipy does not identify people by their faces.

The app does not send files, their metadata, fingerprints or history to the rightholder or to a Compressify server. The current version has no sign-up, ads, advertising identifiers, third-party analytics or automatic crash reporting.

3. Permissions and actions with files

You can limit or revoke access to your media library in Android settings. Features that need it may then become unavailable. Reminders are optional and created locally; you can revoke the notification permission.

Compression runs on your device and creates a new copy in your gallery. The original joins the deletion queue only after the saved copy has been verified. The compressed copy keeps supported metadata, including available information about where the photo was taken. Full preservation of all camera service data is not guaranteed. Compression is not intended to remove personal information from a file. To read where photos were taken, Swipy asks Android for access to media location together with photo access; without it, photos are not compressed. Swipy does not request the device's current location. Files with additional images that cannot be carried over to the copy (for example, the depth map of a portrait photo) are not compressed.

A swipe on its own does not delete a file: the queue must be reviewed and the deletion confirmed. Trash, permanent deletion and the availability of recovery depend on the system's settings and capabilities. Cloud gallery sync may upload files on its own or spread their deletion to other devices; it is managed by the respective service, not by Swipy.

4. Support requests

If you write by email, the rightholder receives the sender's address, the name you give, the message text and any files or technical details you attach. They are used to reply, fix the problem described and meet legal obligations. Please do not send unnecessary personal data or photos of other people unless your request requires it.

The legal basis for processing a request is handling it in connection with your use of the app and performance of the Terms of Use (clause 5, part 1, article 6 of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ on Personal Data). Clauses 2 and 7 of the same article may apply to meeting legal requirements and protecting rights. Where the law requires separate consent, it is requested separately: this policy does not replace it.

Correspondence goes through Yandex Mail, provided by Yandex LLC, 16 Lva Tolstogo St., Moscow 119021, Russia; see the Yandex privacy policy. Message data is available to the rightholder and the mail service for delivery and storage. The rightholder does not sell data or share it with advertising services. Data may be provided to public authorities only on a lawful basis. Swipy does not transfer data abroad; delivery of a message through the mail service you choose is also governed by that service's rules.

5. Storage and protection

Local data is kept in the app's storage and used while its features need it. Clearing Swipy's data or uninstalling the app deletes its settings, history and local database. Photos and videos in your gallery, including compressed copies created by the app, remain. Temporary compression files are deleted when a job finishes; if the process is interrupted, leftovers may remain until storage is cleared.

Request data is kept until the issue is resolved and deleted within 30 days after that purpose is achieved. If there is an independent legal basis, such as the need to settle a dispute, only the necessary information is kept until that basis ends. This also applies to attachments you sent.

Android access restrictions, the app's isolated storage and the rightholder's restricted access to correspondence are used. To protect files on your device, use a screen lock and Android access settings.

6. Your rights and changes

You can request information about the processing of your data, its correction, blocking, deletion or the end of processing, and withdraw any separately given consent. Write to compressify@yandex.ru. Requests for information are answered within 10 working days, which may be extended by another 5 working days in cases provided by law, with the reason explained. Other actions are taken within the time limits set by law. If necessary, you will be asked to confirm that the request is yours. The rightholder cannot remotely clear data on your phone.

You may also contact Roskomnadzor, the Russian data protection authority, or a court. A new version is published on this page with the date of change; new purposes of processing do not replace separate consent where the law requires it.
